1. UBER IS LEGAL
Uber is finally legal in Toronto but it will probably cost you more. City council voted to change the Uber X base fare from $2.50 to $3.25 per ride. Taxis will now be allowed to offer surge pricing online.

2. PRIDE MONTH
Pride Week will be replaced by Pride Month in Toronto this year. Prime Minister Trudeau, Margaret Atwood and Star Trek‘s George Takei will all take part in the month long Pride celebration that starts in June and wraps up the first weekend of July.

4. FORT MAC WILDFIRE
The entire city of Fort McMurray Alberta has been evacuated because of wild fires. Nearly 60,000 people have been displaced. If you want to help out, donate $5 by texting the word “Redcross” to 30333.
