On August 14th you have the opportunity to get in shape, support a great cause and hang with some of you’re favourite bands. The Toronto Music Run will celebrate their inaugural event this summer – a 5k run in support of The Remix Project.
Here’s a run down (get it?) on what the remix project is all about:
The Remix Project was created in order to help level the playing field for young people from disadvantaged, marginalized and under served communities. The programs and services serve youth who are trying to enter into the creative industries or further their formal education. Their mission is to help refine the raw talents of young people from across the GTA in order to help them find success as participants define it and on their own terms.
The run will take place through the shores of Lake Ontario and the confirmed list of artists so far are as follows: The Darcys, Brendan Canning, Buck 65, Ben Kowalewicz, Whitehorse and more. Each artist will be involved in a different way, some will be Dj-ing, some will be running and some will be there just to motivate you.
Early bird pricing is available for a limited time, you can get more details and register here.
