Over the weekend, OPP’s Norfolk detachment released that officers responded to a 911 call that rushed them to a residence in Simcoe, Ontario.
When the police arrived, they found out that a nine-year-old girl had dialed 911 because she was upset that one of her parents asked her to clean her room.

The incident prompted Ontario Provincial Police to remind parents and caregivers to teach their children about making 911 calls, as it should only be used in emergency cases. On average, it takes two offers around 30 minutes to investigate a 911 call, which wastes police resources.
