While plenty of raccoons have been spotted in TTC stations across the city, in another extremely Canadian turn of events, a beaver has been spotted at the Royal York Subway Station.
The station had to be temporarily closed due to the strolling beaver, who, according to the TTC, made their way into the Royal York Subway Station on Bloor Street early this morning (March 25th). In response, the TTC temporarily closed the Grenview entrance to the station “due to an animal in distress,” but the entrance has since been opened again.
Twitter user Jenn Abbot spotted the beaver, and posted pictures of it on Twitter. “This,” Abbott writes. “At the Grenview entrance of Royal York subway station.”

The TTC says that the city of Toronto, police, and animal control were all notified of the peculiar occurance.
