Despite clearly marked “Do Not Enter” signs and a host of other deterrents, a driver wound up stuck in the Queens Quay TTC tunnel for over an hour Wednesday. Shuttle buses ran the 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina routes Wednesday morning as officials worked to remove the car from the tunnel.
“It’s more common to happen (at Queens Quay) than the other tunnel at Spadina,” TTC spokesperson Stuart Green told The Toronto Star. “We’ve put up big signs, we have flashing lights. Rumble strips — it’s very hard to accidentally drive into that tunnel anymore.”

This is the second time this year a vehicle drove into the Queens Quay tunnel and got stuck.
