Accused Toronto feces thrower Samuel Opoku granted bail

He was granted bail on Wednesday at Old City Hall

Toronto resident Samuel Opoku has been granted bail after being accused of dumping buckets of feces on five different people.

The 23-year-old man has been charged with five counts of assault with a weapon and five counts of mischief interfering with property after allegedly throwing buckets of “liquefied fecal matter,” according to Toronto police. Opoku allegedly conducted three separate attacks, two of which occurred inside of university libraries.
 


On Wednesday, Opoku was granted bail after appearing at Old City Hall in Toronto, and he’s set to reappear in court on December 23rd. The man’s lawyer claims that Opoku is struggling with mental health issues, but offered up no details.

The conditions of Opoku’s bail were not shared.
