Adult Mom have shared a new B-side, “91.”
Stevie Knipe’s DIY indie-pop project, Adult Mom, are back with a B-side from their first album for Epitaph, Driver. Recorded with producer Kyle Pulley, the track appears to be about the California highway. The track is all about getting into your car and leaving a bad situation that’s hurting people.
It’s a dreamy, guitar-driven tune that you’ll want to play on a drive through country roads. Adult Mom continue to channel their quintessential melancholic indie sound on this brand new track. Lyrically, Knipe delivers lines like, “I am so irrational/ That’s what you say while I’m packing up to go/ My life in my car, I’m speeding down 91.”

Adult Mom released their third studio album, Driver, almost exactly a year ago.
The album sees Knipe delving “into the emotional space just beyond a coming-of-age, where the bills start to pile up and memories of college dorms are closer than those of high school parking lots,” a press release explains of the Adult Mom album. “Ultimately seeking the answer to the age-old question posed by every twenty-something; what now? Over the course of 10 tracks, Knipe sets out to soundtrack the queer rom-com they’ve been dreaming of since 2015.”
Driver sees Adult Mom offering up a newfound vulnerability. With cathartic tunes and melancholic, powerful melodies, the album is definitely a must-listen for every indie fan.
