After removing the number of likes on posts in Canada, Instagram is implementing the initiative in six more countries, according to the BBC.
Instead of listing a concrete number of likes, every post will only show one username “and others” who have liked the post. Users will only be able to see the accounts that have liked a post by clicking the linked “and others” text.

The next countries to see the removal of like numbers include Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and Brazil.
“We hope this test will remove the pressure of how many likes a post will receive, so you can focus on sharing the things you love,” Facebook Australia and New Zealand director of policy Mia Garlic explains.
