Alanis Morissette has shared a new single called “Olive Branch.”
Co-written by Michael Farrell and produced by Farrell and Henrik Jakobssen, the track is all about apologizing in a drama-ridden friendship. The ballad sees Morissette ready to offer up a “mea culpa.”
Lyrically, Alanis Morissette delivers lines like “I’m riddled with a deep regret/ And here is my olive branch/ And I’m so sorry.”

The apologetic tune follows a couple of other one-off releases Alanis Morissette has shared since 2020’s Such Pretty Forks in the Road. Throughout 2021, the beloved Canadian-American artist dropped “Predator,” “I Miss the Band,” and “Rest.”
