Former Crystal Castles frontwoman Alice Glass revealed that the defamation suit that her former bandmate Ethan Kath filed against her has been dismissed. Glass came forward in October with allegations of emotional, physical, and sexual involving Kath.
Kath denied the claims and responded by filing a defamation suit. Glass, who left the band in 2014 tweeted over the weekend that the case had been dismissed in court, calling it “a victory for survivors of abuse and sexual misconduct.”
I won in court today!! the defamation lawsuit against me was dismissed !
thank you so much for the love and support throughout this ugly process— ALICE GLASS (@ALICEGLASS) February 23, 2018
this is a victory for survivors of abuse and sexual misconduct in countries where abusers use the court system to further victimize and keep people silent. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED

Glass released a new song, “CEASE AND DESIST,” in January, which she describes as a “call to arms for all survivors.” “’CEASE AND DESIST’” she says “is what I need to tell myself to get through each day, and what I hope other survivors can remember when they feel like they can’t make it through the darkness of their own recovery.”
