Good news, Ontario commuters! Metrolinx, along with the provincial government, have announced that free WiFi will soon be available on all GO buses and trains.
Just one day after GO Transit added more trains to a number of lines such as Kitchener, the service announced it will also be adding free wifi to all trains and buses. https://t.co/9ly2uUun6X pic.twitter.com/V8X9mOxBXZ

All 1,475 buses and trains will have WiFi beginning in spring of 2020. The transit agency partnered with Icomera to get the necessary equipment in place, and if all goes well, commuters will begin to see free WiFi networks throughout the GTA in early next year. The full rollout is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2020.
The new system will not only offer up free internet access, but also free “entertainment content” through a user-friendly portal.
