alt-J are at their most introspective on new album ‘The Dream’

London trio alt-J are back with a new album, The Dream.

The lush new collection sees alt-J at their most introspective to date. With sprawling instrumentals and stunning harmonies, The Dream is a reflective, open-hearted album.

alt-J make sure to stay true to their quintessential psychedelic-tinged sound on the album, while bringing in new flares. From orchestral interjections to nostalgic, acoustic-driven tunes, the band are exploring new sonic territory on this subtle record.

Stream The Dream below.

The new alt-J record balances beauty and darkness. Both are “often seamlessly merging on the same track, a purposeful choice that pays dividends across the record,” according to a release. It also boasts some “true-crime inspired stories and tales of Hollywood and the Chateau Marmont.”

The Dream features previously released singles “The Actor,” “Hard Drive Gold,” “Get Better,” and “U&ME.”

alt-J are headed out on tour in 2022. Check out the dates below.
