Watch: Amy Shark Performs ‘Adore’ in the Collective Arts Black Box

Australian singer performs her hit 2016 single

Amy Billings, better known as Amy Shark has been quietly gaining momentum with her mystic blend of indie folk and pop in recent years. Hailing from the Gold Coast of Australia, Shark spent years honing her craft as a young musician, but it wasn’t until recent events that turned the singer into somewhat of an overnight phenomenon.

After taking home the prize for Pop Song of the Year at the Queensland Music Awards, Shark started to gain popularity in Australia, touring extensively. Amy was awarded a national arts grant, and began working with M-Phazes to produce her 2016 single “Adore.” Shark said that single is “a play-by-play of a night out and that feeling for someone that is really new and fresh and innocent.”

Shortly after, “Adore” went to the Top Three Spot on Australian Radio, and was voted number 2 on Triple J’s Hottest 100. Following the success of her single, Shark got to work producing her breakthrough EP Night Think, which was met with high praise upon release earlier this year. Amy visited Indie88 in the Collective Arts Black Box for a special, stripped-down performance of the “Adore”, watch and enjoy below:
