Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, also known as Edwin Farnham Butler III, has become a Canadian citizen.

The California-bred, Texas-raised musician moved to Montreal while studying at McGill University, where he met wife and Arcade Fire co-founder Régine Chassagne. Butler even posted on Instagram to announce his new citizenship, adding, “had to wear the Canadian Tuxedo, and yes Mounties are real.”
