Watch Arctic Monkeys Debut New Material At First Concert of 2018

On May 2nd, we anticipated Arctic Monkeys to perform their first show of the season at The Observatory in San Diego – what we were anticipating but not 100% sure for? The band would air new material from their yet to be released album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino during their performance!

The forthcoming album is to be released on May 11th, and is the sixth record amongst their album history, the most recent being AM in 2013.

One lucky fan who sat relatively close to the band, recorded the performance and allowed us outsiders and inside view!

Tracks from the album such as ‘American Sport’ and ‘One Point Perspective’ were performed at the show, as well as ‘Four Out of Five’ and ‘She Looks Like Fun’ both featuring Tame Impala’s Cameron Avery.

The band opened with the classics such as ‘View From the Afternoon’ and ‘Brianstorm’. On top of all that excitement, Arctic Monkeys performed the rare “You’re So Dark” off the album AM for the very first time.
