Witness Protection is set to be an edgy comedy that revolves around a woman (Annie Murphy) that has always defined herself by romantic relationships. After having to join the witness protection program, she is forced to learn about who she truly is. All the while, Murphy must stay under cover and avoid the criminals trying to find her.
Not much information about the project has been revealed yet, but the film will be made for MRC Film’s female-driven comedy label.
Aside from that, Annie Murphy has been quite busy starring in AMC’s Kevin Can F*** Himself. She’s also set to star in season 2 of Netflix’s hit series Russian Doll.
Back in September, Schitt’s Creek won big at the 72nd annual Emmy Awards. The ceremony saw Schitt’s Creek winning a whopping nine awards. It set a new record for the most Emmys ever won by a comedy series in a single season. For the first time ever, the show won all seven major Emmy Awards for comedy.
