Nike Is Giving Away ‘Back To The Future’ Self-Tying Shoes

Marty McFly’s dreams are coming true: Nike’s self-tying, Back To The Future shoes are becoming a reality.

Nike CEO Mark Parker announced today that the company will be giving away 100 pairs of the new BTTF-themed Nike Mag shoes with “power laces”. The shoes will not be for sale, but available only through a contest running today until October 11th, with tickets to enter costing $10.

All proceeds will be donated to real-like Marty McFly, Michael J. Fox’s Foundation dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Winners will be chosen October 17th.

If you don’t happen to win one of the 100 pairs being given away, not all hope is lost. Nike’s commercial “power laces” shoes, the HyperAdapt 1.0 are hitting U.S. shelves this coming November 28th.
