B.C. couple discovers ‘Game of Thrones’ Iron Throne within Rocky Mountains

'I still can't believe this happened! Right here in Tumbler Ridge!'

As part of #ForTheThrone, a promotion for the forthcoming and final season of Game of Thrones, HBO hid six thrones around the world alongside a handful of 360 videos hinting at their locations. Now, a couple from British Columbia have claimed one of the six thrones as their own.

Thrones have been found everywhere from Sweden to Brazil, and Vice President of Tumbler Ridge UNESCO Global Geopark Birgit Sharman alongside her husband Kevin tracked down a throne beside Babcock Creek in Tumbler Ridge, BC. The Rocky Mountain town on the west coast has a population of just under 2,000 people, so Sharman was pretty excited about the find. “I still can’t believe this happened! Right here in Tumbler Ridge!” Sharman wrote on Facebook.

Upon her arrival, two fur-cloaked Stark men greeted her, placing a crown on her head that she kept afterwards.

Check out some photos of the throne and crown, in addition to directions to the throne below.

You still have a chance to claim the Iron Throne, as one has yet to be found.
