LCD Soundsystem performed at T in the Park, a festival held in Strathallan in Scotland and almost nobody was there to see it.
There was a unique set of circumstances that are believed to have led to the incredibly low turnout. The first being that the Red Hot Chili Peppers were playing on the main stage, the second being that the rainy weather dissuaded people from coming out and the third being that the fields were incredibly muddy making people want to stay put.
Regardless of the circumstances it was surely disappointing for the band albeit fantastic for the fans that made it and were greeted with such an intimate performance. Consequence of Sound commented that it made them “question the state of music.” While it doesn’t necessarily speak volumes on the “state of music” it is a truly interesting occurrence.
It however is anomaly as they have been drawing large crowds at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound and Coachella. Next weekend they are sure to do the same when they headline at Wayhome.
Scotland, I love you but you're bringing me down https://t.co/9oY8MHpAYm

Ridiculously poor turn out for @lcdsoundsystem at T in the Park
Seems to sum up the way the festival has descended into utter squalor

The size of the crowd at T in the Park for LCD Soundsystem compared to Calvin Harris is just embarrasing pic.twitter.com/2VtSnZWSnR

Just watched the highlights of LCD Soundsystem's set at T in the Park. Criminal turnout. A festival for part-time music fans.
