Beach Slang Becoming Quiet Slang For Release of New EP

James Alex, the heart on the sleeve punk rocker who goes by the name Beach Slang, will be rebranding slightly for a new release. Under the alias Quiet Slang, October 20th will see the release of the We Were Babies & We Were Dirtbags EP.

Beach Slang’s 2016 record A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings will have two songs stripped-down in acoustic renditions. “Future Mixtape For the Art Kids” and “Bad Art & Weirdo Ideas” will accompany covers of The Replacements and Big Star.

Electric guitars have been traded in for cellos, and loud chanting has been traded in for harmonized vocals. It’s Beach Slang at their most melancholy.

Stream “Bad Art & Weirdo Ideas” from the upcoming release below.
