Beirut announce long awaited new album ‘Gallipoli’

The follow up to 2015's No No No

Beirut have just announced the release of their highly anticipated album Gallipoli, which will be their first record since 2015’s No No No.

The new album, which was announced on their website, is titled after the Italian town of the same name, where frontman Zach Condon wrote the title track of the LP. Gallipoli was recorded all over the world in New York City, Berlin, and Puglia.

When writing about the recording process, Condon explains that he “wanted every creak and groan of the instruments, every detuned note, every amp buzz and technical malfunction to be left in the cracks of the songs.”
