Ben Gibbard announces livestream on 1 year anniversary of his first ‘Live from Home’ set

The event will take place on March 17th at 7:00 p.m.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard streamed the first of many solo livestream sets on March 17th.

For a while, Gibbard performed the “Live from Home” sets every day before transitioning to doing them weekly, and then less frequently than that. In each performance, Gibbard would cycle through some fan favourites, some amazing covers, and even a couple of career deep cuts.

In honour of the anniversary of the streaming series, Gibbard will be performing another “Live From Home” set to mark the occasion on Wednesday, March 17th at 7:00 p.m.

“Hope you all have been doing well and staying healthy,” Gibbard says. “Come listen to some tunes and bring some questions. The show will be in benefit of Aurora Commons, a wonderful organization that provides a safe space for people experiencing homelessness in Seattle – please donate if you are able.”

You’ll be able to watch the performance in full on YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch.
