This week’s new music was highlighted by the arrival of new music from Japandroids, a new record from The Darcys, and videos from the likes of Grandaddy and Sleigh Bells.

Grandaddy – “Way We Won’t”

Grandaddy is set to release its first album since 2006’s Just Like the Fambly Cat on March 3, 2017. The band released a video for the first single “Way We Won’t” this week. Long-time fans should be pleased with how it sounds.

Japandroids – “Near to the Wild Heart of Life”

Japandroids satiated fans’ appetite for new music this week with the release of the title track first single, “Near to the Wild Heart of Life,” from their forthcoming album which is set to drop on January 27, 2017.

Sleigh Bells – “I Can Only Stare”

Noise pop duo Sleigh Bells will drop its third album Jessica Rabbit next week, the video for the latest single “I Can Only Stare” was directed by Alex Ross Perry.

Junior Boys – “Kiss Me All Night”

Hamilton electronic duo Junior Boys followed up their 2016 full-length Big Black Coat very quickly with the release of their Kiss Me All Night EP. A video for the title track surfaced this week.

The Darcys – Stiegl Hidden Studio Session

Our friends The Darcys released their new album Centerfold Friday. The guys showcased their new sound in a Stiegl Hidden Studio Session with us earlier this week.
