Required Weekly Listening from Wilco, Ty Segall, Chromeo, Angel Olsen, and more

November means a couple things: it’s dark, winter is coming, and so are the holidays.

If you’re like us, you probably don’t really feel like braving the cold just yet. So why not take a seat by the fire, pour yourself some hot tea, and check out the best new tracks of the week to heat things up.

Before you do, make sure you check out Broken Social Scene’s Hidden Studio session as well as Rostam’s Black Box session.

Here are the best new indie tracks of the week:

Chromeo – “Juice”

I can’t imagine how much tanning oil was used on set for the making of this song, but nonetheless the boys of Chromeo marked their return with a banging new single this week. Listen to “Juice” above.

Empires of the Sun – “On Our Way Home”

Empire of the Sun surprised fans with the announcement of a new EP with the release of a new single “Way To Go” and video to boot. On Our Way is out today for your listening pleasure.

The Staves & yMusic – “Top Of The World”

If you’re a fan of three way harmonies this song is for you. The Staves teamed up with New York sextet chamber ensemble yMusic for “Top of the World,” following “Trouble On My Mind” last week.

Polaris Prize winning artist Buddy Sainte-Marie teamed up with Nunavut throat singer Tanya Tagq for “Medicine Song” from the new album by the same name.
