We’re so close to cottage season we can almost smell the pine in the air. While it may be a little early to start putting together a summer playlist, there’s still plenty of great new music to add to your music library.

Mac DeMarco and Melanie Faye – “Eternally 12”

Guitar prodigy Melanie Faye teamed up with the jizz jazz musician Mac DeMarco for a “hot little track” called “Eternally 12.” Listen and enjoy above!

Jane’s Party – “You’re The Light”

Toronto rock group Jane’s Party have shared anthemic single “You’re The Light” with a video to boot. This is the first single from the band’s 2016 album Tunnel Vision, and is a collaboration with Fast Romantics’ Matthew Angus.


Snail Mail – “Heat Wave”

It turns out 18-year-old singer-songwriter Lindsey Jordan, a.k.a. Snail Mail, is quite the hockey player. Jordan suited up for Snail Mail’s new video for “Heat Wave” to show off her skills. “Heat Wave” comes from Snail Mail’s highly-anticipated debut full-length, Lush, which arrives on June 8 via Matador Records.


Stef Chura – “Sour Honey”

Stef Chura released of her second single new single, “Sour Honey,” ahead of Record Store Day last week. Chura previously released “Degrees,” and her latest cut is another product of a recording session with Will Toledo of Car Seat Headrest.


Thundercat – “Final Flight”

Bassist extraordinaire Thundercat shared his first new single from last year’s excellent album Drunk, “Final Flight.” The new track was released on Adult Swim’s “Final Flight” program.


Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks – “Refute”

Indie rock veterans Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks are set to release a new album, Sparkle Hard, on May 18 via Matador. The band has shared a third song, “Refute,” from the forthcoming record, and it features Kim Gordon.
