You never want head into the weekend with an empty iPod. So make the most of this New Music Friday and take a listen to the freshest tracks of the week!

Bahamas – “Way With Words”

Afie Jurvanen aka Bahamas next album Earthtones is due out early next year, and the folk singer shared another taste of hat’s to come this week with “Way With Words.”
 

Featurette – “Upside Down”

No, it’s not an homage to Stranger Things, Featurette’s new single is actually “an ode to the decline of our modern world and our values, which for us was punctuated by the US Presidential election.” Check it out above.
 

First Aid Kit – “Fireworks”

Swedish sister folk duo First Aid Kit plan to release their fourth studio record Ruins in January, following up 2014’s Stay Gold. “Fireworks” is the third shared track off the upcoming album after follows “Postcard” and most recently “It’s A Shame.”
 

Gorillaz – “Andromeda (DRAM Special)”

Gorillaz fans will enjoy this little extra from their fabulous 2017 album Humanz, it’s “Humanz” cut with the added bonus of DRAM.
 

Best Coast – “Little Saint Nick” (Beach Boys Cover)

Have yourself a merry little Christmas and enjoy Best Coast’s take on the Beach Boys’ holiday classic! Listen to “Little Saint Nick” above!
 

U.S. Girls – “Velvet 4 Sale”

Toronto-based artist Meghan Remy, aka U.S. Girls, has announced a new album In a Poem Unlimited, which will be released on February 16, 2018, via Royal Mountain Records / 4AD. Remy shared a new song and video, “Velvet 4 Sale,” along with the news of her forthcoming sixth record this week.

 

Bossie – “Strawberry Moon”

A glistening new single from Toronto’s indie-pop artist Bossie, a first taste from her long-awaited debut album coming in 2018.
 

Taylor Knox – “Saturday”

Toronto-based singer-songwriter Taylor Knox unveiled a pair of new live videos this week ahead of his upcoming show at the Garrison on December 8. Both videos for “Saturday” and “Didn’t Even Try” were show with Peter Dreimanis of July Talk. Enjoy the former above!

 

The Go! Team – “Mayday”

The Go! Team are set to release new album ‘SEMICIRCLE’ on January 19th and shared a celestial new single this week, “Mayday.”
