Dashboard Confessional – “Heart Beat Here”

Chris Carrabba is set to release the first Dashboard Confessional full-length album in eight years on February 9, 2018, with Crooked Shadows via Dine Alone Records and Fueled by Ramen. The emo veteran has unveiled a second single from the forthcoming record with “Heart Beat Here.”
 

Kandle – “When My Body Breaks”

Montreal-based artist Kandle has signed to Sleepless Records and has delivered a new single, “When My Body Breaks,” to coincide with the announcement. The track features July Talk’s Peter Dreimanis on vocals and Broken Social Scene’s Sam Goldberg.
 

Preoccupations – “Espionage”

Calgary-based four-piece Preoccupations have announced that their new record, New Material, is set to arrive on March 23rd, via Flemish Eye in Canada (and Jagjaguwar in the rest of the world). The band lifted the lid on a new single, “Espionage.”
 

Hot Snakes – “Six Wave Hold-Down”

Hot Snakes have announced their forthcoming record Jericho Sirens is out March 16 via Sub Pop. The post-hardcore legends unveiled their first new song in 14 years earlier this week. Check out “Six Wave Hold-Down” above.
 

shy kids – “i feel like a failure”

Toronto-based quartet shy kids will release their sophomore album, in a state, on Feb. 23rd. Check out the lead single “i feel like a failure” above, and get out to their release party on Feb. 22 at Lee’s Palace.
 

Nap Eyes – “Every Time the Feeling”

Halifax-based outfit Nap Eyes have a new record on the way, I’m Bad Now arrives on March 9th via You’ve Changed Records (CA), Paradise of Bachelors (US), and Jagjaguwar (Intl). Listen to the lead single, “Every Time the Feeling” above.
 

Cadence Weapon – “High Rise”

Rollie Pemberton, aka Cadence Weapon, released his new self-titled record on Friday, January 19 via eOne Music. The Edmonton, Alberta, native has lifted the lid on the album’s fourth single, “High Rise,” which was produced by Montreal’s Jacques Greene.
 

Mount Eerie – “Distortion”

Phil Elverum’s last album A Crow Looked At Me was a sorrowful reflection after his wife Geneviève passed away from cancer. Now a year later, the singer who works under the Mount Eerie moniker is preparing to release another new album, Now Only that finds him at a later period in his grieving process. Listen to first taste, the cathartic, 12 minute “Distortion” above.
