Burlington, Ontario-bred indie rockers Big Lonely are set to release their sophomore record Bad Magic on October 12. Today, Indie88 is pleased to premiere the band’s new single and video for “Ticket,” from the forthcoming album.
“’Ticket,’ the first single to be shared from the record, is about using someone’s belief in you as the fuel to do the things that you wouldn’t have the courage to do otherwise,” the band told Indie88. “Eventually that fuel runs out – while it’s helped you get to where you are, you now believe in yourself enough to go a little further. There are stops along the way if you run out of gas.”
Check out “Ticket” below.
Bad Magic was partially recorded in London, Ontario at the Sugar Shack with Big Lonely’s good friend Simon Larochette, the rest at Fox Sounds Studios with Derek Hoffman, and “in the basement” with the band’s own guitarist, Taylor Lucas. Big Lonely will hit the road in support of Bad Magic in October.
