Eilish paid tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer with a black Taylor Hawkins t-shirt that’s got an image of his smiling face. The performance of her Happier Than Ever standout opened with Eilish walking around a set that looked like a hotel room. About halfway through the performance, she walked through the door and came out on the top of the set, joining her brother Finneas. During the end of the tune, rain poured on the duo.
At the close of the song, Eilish received a standing ovation after lifting the Taylor Hawkins shirt off of her body slightly to further pay tribute.

Eilish and Finneas performed in Seattle on the night Hawkins suddenly passed away in Bogota, Columbia.
“It was right before we went on stage,” Eilish said on the red carpet at the Oscars, according to Billboard. “And we got the news and it really, really tore us all apart. It’s horribly, horribly tragic.”
Thus, Eilish’s tribute of the Taylor Hawkins shirt was definitely a standout moment in the evening. Although Eilish was nominated for seven awards at the Grammys, she didn’t end up taking home any.
At the awards, artists like Jon Batiste, Silk Sonic, and Olivia Rodrigo won big. Tyler, The Creator brought home Best Rap Album for Call Me If You Get Lost at the 2022 Grammys as well.
Headed into the 2022 Grammys, Jon Batiste had the most nominations, clocking in at 11, with Justin Bieber in a close second with eight nominations. Check out the full list of winners here.
