Chadwick Boseman, the actor best known for his portrayal as King T’Challa in Marvel’s Black Panther, had died at the age of 43. Boseman had been privately battling colon cancer for the past four years, his family stated in a release Friday night.
Boseman’s career took off after his performance as Jackie Robinson in the 2013 film 42. Boseman also starred as James Brown in the 2014 biopic Get On Up, and most recently in Spike Lee’s war film Da 5 Bloods.
