Drummer Travis Barker’s ongoing issues with blood clots have forced Blink-182 to cancel their upcoming tour. The band issued a statement via Twitter Thursday, breaking the news to fans. Blink-182 was set to hit the road on September 12 for a North American fall tour, which included a headlining spot at Chicago’s Riot Fest.
“Unfortunately the risks associated with drumming are still too great,” Barker said in a statement. “I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible. I want to thank my fans, family, friends and bandmates for all the love and support.”
