Bonnaroo recruits Phoebe Bridgers, Brittany Howard and Sylvan Esso for make-up show

Two days ago (September 1), Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival cancelled its 2021 festival due to major flooding caused by Hurricane Ida. Today, Bonnaroo organizers have announced a make-up show with Phoebe Bridgers, Brittany Howard and Sylvan Esso.

The make-up gig will take place this Saturday (September 4) in Nashville at the Ascend Amphitheatre. The concert will require attendees to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours or proof of vaccination.

On the Bonnaroo Instagram, organizers announced the show “”Hey Bonnaroovians! If you’re still around and looking for a little bit of Bonnaroo magic then come join us this Saturday night!”. Tickets for the show go on sale at 1 p.m. ET today.

This year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival planned to have performers such as Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey, My Morning Jacket, Lizzo and more.

When announcing the cancellation festival organizers posted in a statement:

“We are absolutely heartbroken to announce that we must cancel Bonnaroo. While this weekend’s weather looks outstanding, currently Centeroo is waterlogged in many areas, the ground is incredibly saturated on our tollbooth paths, and the campgrounds are flooded to the point that we are unable to drive in or park vehicles safely.”
