Boston Calling 2020 cancelled due to COVID-19

The festival would have taken place from May 22 to 24

Boston Calling has joined the list of cancelled festivals due to the rapid spread of COVID-19.

The festival was scheduled to take place at the Harvard Athletic Complex from May 22nd to 24th, and would have seen performances from acts like Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975, Brittany Howard, Run the Jewels, Liam Gallagher, Phoebe Bridgers, PUP, and more.

According to a statement, the organizers of Boston Calling made the “difficult decision” to cancel the festivals after “several weeks of consultation with local and state authorities.” “We are heartbroken; however, the health and safety of our audience, artists, partners, vendors, first responders, and staff are of the utmost importance to us, and we felt that this was the only acceptable way forward.”
