The Killers lead vocalist Brandon Flowers went on Seth Meyers’ Late Night over the weekend, and discussed what life for like in the early days for the band.
Flowers went on to explain that the band had formed because of a newspaper classifieds ad, where someone had listed that were looking to start a band influenced by Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, and The Beatles. He then said that the band performed their first “show” at a cafe’s open-mic night, where they played “Mr Brightside” for the first time.
Flowers then went on to do an acoustic rendition of popular Killers hit, “When We Were Young,” which was met with thunderous applause.
