Toronto indie-pop duo Brave Shores surprised fans earlier this month by dropping five new songs, the first half off their upcoming album La Hoo La La.
Included in the tracks were the group’s first single in the collection “Cult Kids”, and the dreamy psychedelic track “Magic Man”. This morning Brave Shores shared a new lyric video for the latter.
“‘Magic Man’ is that feeling you get when you’re on top of the world, so much so, that you could just whistle through your days like a 1950s milkman,” Brave Shores told Indie88. “It’s also just straight up about our weed dealer.”
La Hoo La La is set for release later this year, and was produced by the band’s Jay McCarrol, along with Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Said The Whale), mixed by David Tolomei (Future Islands, Daughter), and mastered by Heba Kadry (Bjork, Future Islands). Brave Shores previously released their self-titled LP in 2014.
Brave Shores told Indie88 in a statement there’s “more planned this summer with performances, videos, new music and more.” Watch the video for “Magic Man” below:
