Broken Social Scene pull forthcoming European Tour as Kevin Drew refocuses on health

They'll be cancelling their full European itinerary

Broken Social Scene has announced that they’re cancelling their forthcoming European Tour after frontman Kevin Drew has decided to refocus on his health.

The Canadian indie group has decided to cancel their entire itinerary, as songwriter Drew needs time to recuperate and focus on his wellbeing in a break from the road. “I love every minute I’m able to connect with people and make memories,” Drew explains in a statement. “But I’ve been medically advised to avoid the physical strains of touring and focus and getting my health back on point.”

Unfortunately due to health reasons we’ve had to cancel our upcoming UK/EU dates. From Kevin: “I love every minute I’m able to connect with people and make memories. But I’ve been medically advised to avoid the physical strains of touring and focus and getting my health back on point. We have a few remaining shows stateside, but those will be our last for the rest of summer. I want nothing more to get back overseas again, and create the best experience possibly but sadly I can’t do that at this moment in time. Rest has been forced upon me and I have to honour this process. So much love and gratitude to our lung listeners . Our deepest apologies” ❤️❤️❤️ 📸: @tanjatiziana
