Usually, this month would have marked the season opener at Toronto venue Budweiser Stage, but since the COVID-19 has put the opening to a halt, Live Nation has launched an “at-home” concert series at the venue.
Beginning this Saturday, May 30th, fans can watch the premiere of the one-hour “Budweiser Stage at Home” special on Citytv, where you can catch performances from the Trews and the Black Crowes. Airing at 8:00 p.m. EST, the event will be hosted by Tara Slone.

While the performance won’t have a physical audience, the shows will still be hosted weekly at Budweiser stage, and the performing artists will be interviewed as well.
“The month of May has always been the kick-off to summer with the opening of Budweiser Stage, however, during these unprecedented times we’ve all had to change how we live our lives,” Labatt Breweries of Canada Vice President of Marketing Todd Allen explains. “But it hasn’t changed Budweiser’s commitment to its community. Budweiser Stage at Home allows us to elevate the at-home music experience while creating great moments for friends to celebrate at a distance.”
During the second episode on June 6th, Blue Rodeo and Alan Doyle will perform.
