Actor, director, and producer Burt Reynolds is dead at the age of 82 of an apparent heart attack. Reynolds was the star of such films as Boogie Nights, The Cannonball Run, Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, and The Longest Yard.
Reynolds’ acting credits stretch all the way back to the 1950s, when he appeared in numerous television series. He would go on to land roles in successful shows in the 1960s such as Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, and The Twilight Zone.

Reynolds is survived by his son, Quinton Anderson Reynolds.
