By Divine Right has a long, long list of past members, but ever since its inception in 1989 the band has always been lead by frontman José Contreras. By Divine Right found itself at the centre of the Canadian indie rock explosion of the 1990s, long before acts like Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene garnered ears from south of the border and overseas. Over twenty years later, the band is still producing interesting new music, with Contreras now joined by Alysha Haugen and Geordie Dynes.
