After cancelling the festival in 2020 due to COVID-19, Canadian Music Week (CMW) is making its return this May from the 18th to the 21st with a virtual conference, festival, and awards ceremony.

The CMW Virtual Conference is set to feature keynote interviews with Buffy Sainte-Marie, Timbaland, Dallas Austin, and more. The virtual conference will offer networking sessions, breakout rooms, one-on-one meetings, Q&A Sessions, and more. You can register for the event here.

Additionally, CMW will be streaming the 20th Anniversary Independent Music Awards live from the El Mocambo on Friday, May 21st, 2021, hosted by our very own Josie, Matt, and Carlin. The event will feature performances from 2019 INDIE Award-winners Monowhales, July Talk, Sam Roberts Band, and Walk Off The Earth alongside the winners of the 2020 Jim Beam National Talent Search.
