Canadians Are Colouring Their Hair for Cancer Research

A bright idea for the cause

This spring, you may notice a lot of brightly coloured heads walking around the city.

In May, Canadians are colouring their hair for a bold and exciting new campaign for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The Colour Your Hair to Conquer Cancer is a new fundraising initiative with the goal of conquering cancer in our lifetime.

Funds raised will support vital cancer research which leads to new more effective therapies for Canada and the world.

The statistics on cancer here in Canada are staggering, as one in every two people here will be diagnosed with the disease in their lifetime. That’s why bringing attention to the cause is so important. Colouring your hair not only is a fantastic way to raise funds for the cause, but to show solidarity for those living with cancer.

Here’s your chance to make a bold choice with your hair, and it’s for a serious cause. Go green, add those purple highlights you’ve always wanted, make it two-tone, or even three… and fellas now’s the time to dye that glorious beard.

Thinking of participating? All you have to do is pick your hair colour, sign up you or your team, raise funds and challenge others to do the same! #GetYourColourOn this May
