Carole Baskin granted control of Tiger King Zoo by judge

Hey all you cool cats and kittens

Carole Baskin is the new owner of the Tiger King Zoo, according to Fox 25.

A judge has ordered the current owner of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, Jeff Lowe, to vacate the premises within 120 days so that Baskin can take his place.

The famed Oklahoma zoo was originally opened by Joseph Maldonado-Passage, more famously known as Joe Exotic, back in 1999. In 2016, Baskin filed a suit against Exotic claiming that he’d fraudulently transferred the property to his mother in an attempt to “evade creditors” and ultimately avoid paying Baskin a $1 million settlement that she’d won from a trademark lawsuit back in 2011.

Now, a judge has ruled that the property transfer was, in fact, illegal, which means that Lowe, who took over the park after Exotic went to prison, cannot really run the park. Thus, the judge has handed the deed to Baskin, and Lowe is now required to remove all of his belongings, including any of his animals, before Baskin acquired the property.

It looks like the Big Cat Rescue founder won her decade-long feud with Exotic after all.
