Former Chairlift member Caroline Polachek has shared a summery new single “Bunny Is A Rider.”

Polachek has burst back onto the hyperpop scene with her first new proper single since 2019’s Pang. The new track is glitchy, yet smooth, as Polachek delivers her quintessential futuristic vocals. Throughout the song, Polachek repeats the refrain, “Bunny is a rider/ Satellite can’t find her” atop catchy whistles. Polachek worked on the tune with Danny L Harle.

“‘Bunny Is A Rider’ is a summer jam about being unavailable,” Polachek explains. “Bunny is slippery, impossible to get ahold of. Maybe it’s a fantasy, maybe it’s a bad attitude. But anyone can be bunny, at least for three minutes and seventeen seconds. The song features a scorching bass performance from producer Danny L Harle plus his baby daughter’s first vocal cameo.”

Last year, Polachek shared a stunning rework of The Corrs’ 2000 hit track, “Breathless.”

Her cover is a truly stunning reworking of the original track, as she adds a modern twist with colourful synth lines. Not only does Polachek deliver the famous lyrics with ease, but she even uses her voice as a background instrument throughout the cover.
