If you missed out on Charlotte Day Wilson‘s show at the Danforth, now’s your chance to make up for it… only this time, it’s at no cost.
Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture – a non-profit and youth-powered platform founded in 2007, which showcases local artists and events – is hosting a line up of artists in Nathan Phillips Square on August 17th. Who’s headlining, you ask? Three words my friends, Charlotte. Day. Wilson.
Manifesto will also be hosting Grammy nominee Chronixx and UK rapper, poet and activist Akala. The platform strives to address insufficient income-generating and employment opportunities for young people and artists, as well as systemic exclusion and under-resourcing of marginalized and racialized communities.
