The film is set to follow a group of teens from Chicago as they unite to turn art into action to benefit their community. Nico Segal, who has regularly collaborated with Chance, will be working on the music, Empire writer Carlito Rodrigues is working on the script, and Chance’s co-producers will be his manager Pat Corcoran and Straight Outta Compton producer Scott Bernstein.
Chance has already got some experience in film after starring in the horror-comedy Slice. It was also revealed yesterday that he will be a judge on Netflix’s first music reality series Rhythm + Flow alongside Cardi B and T.I.
