Chance the Rapper has teamed up with soul legend Dionne Warwick for a new single, “Nothing’s Impossible.”
In December 2020, Chance and Warwick appeared to have their first interaction via Twitter. “Hi, @chancetherapper,” Warwick tweeted. “If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this.”
Shortly after, Warwick teased that they’d be in the studio together to benefit their charities SocialWorks and Hunger: Not Impossible. Thus, “Nothing’s Impossible” was born. The new ballad could fall right into Warwick’s catalogue from the ’70s and ’80s. The uplifting tune is all about possibility.
Listen to “Nothing’s Impossible” below.
“For those of you asking about the song with @chancetherapper… well, it’s out NOW,” Warwick wrote of “Nothing’s Impossible.” “I am very excited about this 🥰🥰🥰 If you can’t find the link to stream in Chance’s bio, you can find it in mine.”
Lyrically, they deliver (somewhat cheesy) lines like, “Just imagine if Moana had been worried ’bout piranhas/ Or if Elsa held the powers back the first time she froze Anna.”
Prior to “Nothing’s Impossible,” back in March, Chance The Rapper shared a video for his introspective track “The Heart & The Tongue.” The introspective track sees Chance The Rapper trying to tackle some internal battles, delivering lines like, “My heart and tongue are fightin’/ My mind is undecided/ It’s not like Trump and Biden/ It’s more like it’s something private.” “The Heart & The Tongue” marked Chance’s first official single since the release of his debut album, The Big Day.
