Chance the Rapper Reclaims Overpriced Tickets from Scalpers, Sells Them to Fans at Normal Price

Good guy Chance

Chance The Rapper has reclaimed thousands of tickets off of scalpers who are selling the items for significantly more than the original price.

Magnificent Coloring Day Festival, a leg of Chance’s current tour supporting his recent mixtape, Coloring Book, will take place September 24th at the U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, and feature musical guests, Skrillex, Lil Wayne, Tyler, the Creator, 2 Chainz, Alicia Keys, John Legend, and more.

As revealed on September 9th, the rapper bought back almost 2,000 floor seats for the festival from scalpers who were asking $200 or more for the tickets, and is reselling the coveted items for $45 and $75.

The announcement was made, via Twitter, as the 23-year-old posted a photo of the stacks of tickets he repurchased out of his own pocket.

On Saturday, he invited fans to stop by the event location for their chance to grab a ticket. As expected, the reclaimed items were quickly sold out.

Leading up to the event, Chance has been openly discussing issues with scalpers on Twitter, noting the voluminous amount of resellers that are making money overcharging for the very sought after tickets.

What a stand up guy.
