Doritos have sponsored a (checks notes) virtual Stranger Things 4 premiere party called “Live from the Upside Down.”
In celebration of the beloved Netflix sci-fi’s highly anticipated fourth season, “Live from the Upside Down” will feature performances from Charli XCX, Soft Cell, Corey Hart, and the Go-Go’s. While the first half of the fourth season arrives on May 27th and the second is out July 1st, this concert takes place right in between the two screening dates.
The concert itself has its own theme: a tour bus crashed on its way to Doritos Music Fest ’86 near Hawkins. “Live from the Upside Down” is a result of “the greatest concert that never happened,” according to a release. After the crash, the musicians disappeared into the upside down. Luckily for viewers, Doritos allegedly have the power to open up a portal so the show can take place virtually.
You can register for the concert online, or get into it by purchasing a bag of Doritos 3D. There are also golden tickets to “Live from the Upside Down” insode random Doritos bags. Fans that find a golden ticket will get the chance to win a replica of a guitar appearing in Stranger Things 4.
“It’s one thing to be able to share my music with my fans but having the opportunity to perform alongside some of the most iconic bands and singers is truly something out of this world,” Charli XCX says. “Doritos is doing something really cool by giving Stranger Things fans a new way to celebrate their favorite show with ‘Live From The Upside Down.’ I can’t wait for everyone to join us for this concert!”
