Actor Chris Evans seemingly hung up his shield as Captain America at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, but it appears he could be near a deal to reprise the role in a future Marvel project.
Deadline reports that Evans could be close to a deal to return as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, in a new Marvel property. Details are sparse at the moment, but Deadline sources indicate that it’s unlikely to be another instalment in the Captain America film franchise.

Evans appeared in a total of 11 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has a history of inserting character’s into other properties following the end of their own film franchises.
It remains to be seen where Evans may pick up the shield again.
