A win for the lover of the Subway sandwich. On February 25th, a judge granted final approval to a settlement class action suit filed against Subway after an Australian teen posted an image of the company’s infamous sandwich at only 11 inches.

As part of the settlement, Subway has agreed to ensure its bread is 12 inches long by instituting practices for at least four years. The judge awarded $520,000 in attorney fees and $500 for each of the 10 individuals who were representatives of the class.
Thomas Zimmerman, the co-lead attorney for the class said that “It was difficult to prove monetary damages, because everybody ate the evidence.”
